As much as we want everyone to get along, sometimes the two people you care about the most can be the ones butting heads. Here are some ways to see if there is a remedy to this common problem:
COMMUNICATE: I will yell this from the rooftop; y’all need to talk. I would suggest getting each of the perspectives individually first and seeing if there is a similarity in their issues. Go from there.
Advice from a neutral party: Sometimes, outside help is good. Find a friend (or a therapist) who doesn’t know either party and give them all the situation details. Most likely, they’ll see where the problem lies and how to fix it.
Team bonding: Find something to bring the two together. Whether that’s a mutual interest of you all or a simple dinner, spending quality time might actually help their differences subside.
All else fails, keep them apart: If no one can get along but you still want them both in your life, it might not be the time for reconciliation. For the best, separate events might be the best option.
